The Dark Knight
Instead of spending my morning waiting in line for the iPhone (or even worse, buying one and waiting half an hour for it to activate) we did something much, much cooler. One of the greatest things about working for a small startup full of twitter following, tech geeks is that we’re generally in the know. So, when one of my coworkers got word that the Tumblr and BatPod from the new Batman movie The Dark Knight were just around the corner from our office – we all went running, cameras in hand. Instead of frustration and throwing money away, we got to hang out with a little piece of movie magic and modern history. FTW.
p.s. One of my friends took some amazing pictures earlier this week at another promotional event. Check ‘em out on Flickr.
No commentsToronto: Electric Storm Haven
Tuesday’s storm was something else entirely. Not because there was tonnes of thunder and lightening this time around, but rather because of the torrential downpour that accompanied the storm. A coworker’s friend, Phil Tucker, spent the storm taking photographs (Iheard the rumours that the final count for the storm was 400+ pictures). He managed to catch this amazing picture of the lightening. Sadly, upon where Phil was taking pictures from there is a possibility that this bolt of lightening my have been the one that killed a man (see the CTV story). I didn’t realize that urban living was quite so dangerous!

Recently I’ve had friends send me links to videos of the girls of the PFL in action.
The first was filmed at PFL 15 & edited by James Helmer and can be found here. There are even some clips from my fight as a PFL pledge, where I received my Certificate of Courage and formally became Janthrax.
That same night the Untitled Underground Sports team was there interviewing the girls (including me!) and filming, with the final product available here. In fact, its only one of three episodes on the joys, trials, and tribulations of how to fight like a girl.
If you like what you see, come on out and see us in two weeks time!
