Jana is a Corporate Ninja, an Immunology geek, and a Rogue Knitter born and raised in the Tdot. She is a heavily tattooed, breastfeeding, baby wearing, co-sleeping, cloth diapering, rainbow coloured clothing mama to Silas Gray. She synthesizes and shares data, connects the dots, and likes to help people make better decisions.
Jana loves to learn, likes to ask questions, and takes joy in the small things (like her current obsession with fiber). She has designed knitting patterns, which are free to download and can be found here. She’s an avid reader and continues to participate in the Book a Week Challenge. She practices the art of being well rounded and is a certified Yoga Teacher.
Jana spends significant amounts of time spinning yarn, knitting, weaving, and playing with fiber. You can buy hand spun Jananas yarn at The Knit Cafe on Queen St W in Toronto. She believes wholeheartedly in fiber arts as moving meditation.
After spending time as a financial analyst and operational project manager Jana was ready to spread her awesomeness at the Rotman School of Management. She graduated with her Masters of Bad Assery. She’s still not entirely sure what that means, but she does know that she is interested in customer experience, usability, and long term planning. She currently works in product development at the intersection of telecommunications, mobility and banking.
