If I’m not updating, I’m probably busy knitting

I’m aware that I’ve been committing one of the cardinal blogging sins – not updating regularly. Blame it mostly on the after effects of the previous entry. Instead, I’ve throw myself into knitting and have accomplished a tonne. My Ravelry projects list is looking pretty good and I’ve made some headway at actually using up my stash. Now I just need to find something to do with all of the little ends of skeins of yarn that I now have lying around as a result.

Zephyr’s Wicked sweater, in progress. I’ve since knit the arms (just past the elbow). This is still waiting for the ends to be sewn in. Knit up in just over a week, using almost 5 skeins of Malabrigo’s Lavanda.

Altered version of the single skein milk-silk cable hat for infants, so that it fits me! The first (in Pearl) was slightly too tight, so I knit it up on size 8 needles and added a third repeat of the cable pattern to the body of the hat and its perfect. I knit the manly olive version because I like the pattern, so its currently sitting in my FO pile with no owner. Let me know if you are interested.

I also knit up a baby yoda sweater in a lovely Forest Green. Not because I have anyone to give it to… But really, how can a girl pass up the chance to knit a Yoda sweater? This one is going in the future gifts pile. We’re at that age where friends are having kids, so it should get lots of love in short order.

I also knit two of these lovely 4×4 ribbed hats. I really like the way that the ribs decrease so smoothly. I gave this one away to a friend on NYE. I really loved this Malabrigo yarn. I never would have thought that greens and orange would have gone so well together, but this hat looks smashing in real life.

So yeah, I have mad knitting skills. I have a couple of more projects in the works so stay tuned.
