Iron Hill Brewery & Homemade Root Beer
On our way from North Carolina to Philly, we were coerced into stopping in Newark, Delaware to hang out with our dear friend Bucket. He took us through rockin’ downtown Newark and out for dinner at a place with vegan options. Jason ate a mighty fine chick’n sandwich, while I rocked the non-vegan mac n’ cheese (made with truffle oil). After we walked the strip for a little bit, before Bucket mentioned homemade root beer. Jason, being the soda connoisseur that he is, immediately jumped on it.
We stopped in at Iron Hill Brewery and Bucket managed to convince them to send us off with a 1/2 gallon of their homemade root beer. I loved that it came in an old school brown jug. I loved its subtle taste and how not fake sweet it was. Basically, it was love at first taste.
p.s. this is what dueling beards looks like…
