I had a leather jacket blow off the back of my bike between Davisville and Lawrence – had my engraved iPod (with my name and company – corporate Xmas gift – engraved on it, so it can’t have been too much of a damn mystery) but it was never returned. I went into EVERY FREAKING STORE between the points the next day, asking if anyone had turned it in…. no.

might be worth searching craigslist for ipods that are for sale as well, since pawn shops & stuff ARE supposed to keep records of who sells what to them, but obviously a private sale on craigslist won’t.
