Lulu.com Checkout – a little more logic needed

I’ve picked up a couple of copies of a book of interviews that my friend Shannon has put together and is selling through Lulu.com. Pretty easy process to order, etc., except for one little thing during the checkout process that irks me.

So, when entering your address you type in your name, address, city, etc. Then you get to State/Province field, where your choices are limited based on the Country field. So because the default Country is set to the US, I had to tab from State/Province to the Country field to change my Country to Canada. Then I had to click on the State/Province field again to be able to select my Province. I mean, its nice to not have to scroll through lists of states when I’m trying to enter a province, but if the logic is set up such that the options in the State/Province field are dependent on the Country field then when doing the data entry I should be given the Country option first so that my experience is seamless.

I’m aware that this isn’t a major item, but given the care put into the rest of the process how did they miss something so small?
