Jananas

Today has been a sad day. We had my puppy put down this morning. She was suffering from kidney failure and her back hips had given out. I rescued Lakie from the group Take Me Home almost seven years ago. She had been an outdoor doggo, living four years with her first family in Alma, PQ before being given up to a shelter. The rescue group saved her, as big, black, older dogs aren’t easy for shelters to adopt. Lakie was one of the calmest, most gentle dogs I’ve ever met. A true stoic, even to the end. She barked at animals on the TV and loved chasing squirrels and sleeping in the sun. I will miss you darling.
