We went on a mini road trip today. Pictures will be posted tomorrow morning when its cool enough that my laptop doesn’t burn my lap while editing photos and writing.

On our way back, we stopped off at a farm that was selling their fresh picked produce. We got everything in the photo below for $16.

We got a basket of tomatoes & 4 hot peppers (to make salsa later this week, after I pick up some more tomatoes). We also got a huge basket of apricots for $6! These are ‘seconds’ so they aren’t physically perfect, but they’ll make good jam regardless (this is planned for tomorrow). We also got a half dozen ears of fresh corn for some corn on the cob goodness later this week. I’d say this is a pretty good haul and I’m looking forward to trying my hand at some more canning this week.
